There will be a Brockton map release celebration and artist signing with Bill Beyer on June 4 at Gourmet Cafe, 245 Main Street, Brockton between the hours of 11 am - 2 pm. This event is being co-sponsored by Crescent Credit Union., Renaissance Credit Card and Paybiz. Stop by to pick up your map, have it signed, and enjoy refreshements. The new Brockton map features street listings, libraries, hospitals, schools, police stations, post offices, and more. Advertisers include Old Colony YMCA, Good Samaritan Medical Center, Lincoln Tech, Awon’s Tire & Auto Center, Old Colony Elder Services, Career Works, Little Lambs Christian Learning Center, Sign Design and 21st Century Corporation. The reverse side of the map features landmarks of Brockton painted by local artist Bill Beyer. Bill Beyer has won many national awards, including the Grumbacher-Kol-I-Noor Award, and he has been nominated Elder-prenuer of 1996 by the John Hancock Company in Boston. In addition he has exhibited his work in a one-man show “In Retrospect” at the Milton Art Museum.
